A Mata Ortiz blackware footed pottery jar. It has a wide mouth and neck, over an ovular body with a black matte design of oval swags and line etched triangles and curls on a nearly metallic black base. It has three splayed feet. To the underside, it is etched with the signature R. Mateos.
