World War II "Woodman's Pal" Survival Machete
Item Details
A vintage World War II-era military ’Woodman’s Pal’ machete, by Victor Tool, with canvas case. The machete has a steel blade hooked tip on the blade, with a straight blade on the opposite edge. The blade has been stenciled in white ‘4th PLT’. The handle is wood, with a red painted finish. It comes with an olive green canvas sleeve, which attached to the knife handle with woven canvas tape. The case has a zippered opening and snap, and is marked ‘Survival Tool Kits, Airman’s – Frank & Warren, Inc. – Type I’ on one side, and has handwriting on the other side, ‘3rd Plt. #2’.
