Persian "Kard" with Wood, Leather and Brass Sheath
Item Details
A vintage Persian kard (knife), with a leather covered wood and brass sheath. The knife has a dark wood handle with brass floral motifs, and a pointed steel blade. The sheath is made of wood, contoured to fit the shape of the knife. It is wrapped in leather, and has a brass tip and collar. No maker’s marks.
Condition
- wood heath is in delicate condition; scratches, dings and wear throughout
- brass has dings and scratches; some oxidation/tarnish
- knife blade is in good condition with some pitting and rust; green oxidation to silver tone metal at the hilt
