Pair of Oil Landscapes on Board
Item Details
A pair of oil paintings on board of landscapes. The first work depicts a hillside with lush green trees and houses throughout the landscape. A graphite inscription to the verso dates the work from 1940. The second work overlooks a factory next to a river with a column of smoke created using thickly applied pigment. Each painting is presented unmounted and without a frame.
Condition
- to fair; wear to the edges of each board; one work has puncture marks from previous mounting; to the verso of each work; wear and paint marks.
