Hand-Knotted Peshawar Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Peshawar carpet runner. This wool rug, attributed to Pakistani weavers, is rendered in a rich, muted palette of taupe, cinnamon, and camel. It features a stylized herati pattern incorporating scrolling lancet leaves, palmettes, flowers, and vines over a variegated taupe field. The field is framed by four borders, including a herati main border grounded in cinnamon and two meandering-floral minor borders over camel. The outer guard border is taupe. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
