A Surrealist oil painting on paper board in the style of the artist Gertrude Abercrombie (1909-1977), dated 1951. This Surrealist nocturnal scene features a partially shattered snail shell situated near a fluctuating pennant that bares the initials "KP". To the lower right, the painting is dated and signed in black paint “Abercrombie ’51” to appear in the style of the Gertrude Abercrombie. Presented behind glass, housed in a gesso and gilt frame.

- minor wear to frame; minor paint loss along edges of paper; backing would benefit from securing.
