A Hopi carved wood kachina doll by Joe Gash titled White Bear. The hand carved kachina doll is a hand carved depiction of the Hopi being White Bear known for healing the sick with his strength and is recognizable by the bear paws on each cheek. The doll’s dancing costume is accented with hand-painted details in turquoise, red, blue, and black. The figure stands on a circular wooden base that is marked in ink ‘Hon Kachina, White Bear, Joe Gash’ to the underside.
