A Chippendale style mahogany desk with chair by Hooker Furniture’s Seven Seas collection. The desk features a rectangular top with three inlaid leather panels with a stamped foliate border, a beveled edge, rope molded trim, four drawers with brass batwing pulls, and cabriole legs with decorative carved knees and claw and ball feet. The maker’s mark is located on the left interior side of the center drawer. The chair features a matching mahogany frame, ornately carved intersecting back splat, an upholstered seat covered in a buttercream cotton jacquard fabrication with raised cream scrolled designs throughout. The chair features a carved rope trim, cabriole legs with decorative carved knees and claw and ball front feet to front and splayed legs to back.
