A Pakistani Bokhara area rug. This plush wool rug is finely hand-knotted in a palette of burgundy, burnt sienna, cream, and cranberry. It begins with three vertical rows of octagonal Tekke-style guls latticed with vertical rows of elongated diamond-shaped guls over a burgundy field. The field is framed by sixteen borders, featuring abstract and/or geometric patterns in the colors of the palette. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with long cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
