Sino-Tibetan Brass Guardian Lion Censer

A Sino-Tibetan cast brass guardian lion censer with red and blue colored glass beads. This free standing brass figure depicts the Chinese guardian lion with a finial on top of his head and adorned with multicolored stones and brass tail and legs. The figurine has a removable head that allows incense to be placed in its interior. When lit, the smoke from the incense travels through the guardian lion’s mouth. Red and blue glass accents are used throughout the burner’s intricate filigree design. Unmarked.

Condition

The brass has tarnished and the body of the lion is missing beads.
