An oil painting on linen of fruit sellers by an artist appearing to sign the work ‘Renold V.A.’ This bright, stylized work depicts a trio of figures seated with an assortment of blue baskets filled with oversized fruit. Each figure wears a bright head covering, and has turned their face toward another member of their party. The work is signed in white toward its lower right corner and is mounted in a pale wooden frame with a wire to its verso. There is a notation to the verso dating the work ’ 04/27/14.’

Condition

- canvas has lost some of its tautness and is slightly loose on stretcher bars; wear throughout frame.
