A watercolor study of the painting War by Persian miniaturist Paul Mak (1891-1967). This image depicts a colorfully adorned warrior drawing his sword from it’s sheath. A second figure in red grimaces behind him. Text along the lower margin reads ‘War, from the painting by Paul Mak ’32’. It is presented under glass with a white mat in a silver tone wood frame. There is a sawtooth hanging bracket mounted to the verso.
