A vintage Japanese porcelain sometsuke bowl. Sometsuke denotes a style of Japanese porcelain featuring a blue and white underglaze decoration. This substantial piece boasts a pair of detailed koi in a shallow well and a floral band along the scalloped rim. The underside is accented with a spontaneous geometric motif.
