Carved Stone Jar
Item Details
A carved stone jar. This piece is composed of a variegated green stone tinged with emerald, orange, and brown. It boasts a pair of carved dragons curled around the shoulder and ring handles; a third is poised on the lid as a finial. Pierced geometric accents line the body which tapers towards a round base. This piece bears no discernible maker’s marks. It is presented in a cloth-lined box.
Condition
- small marks and gentle wear throughout; stone is naturally variegated in color; possible hairline fracture across back of body.
