1826 Six-Volume "Plutarch's Lives" Complete Set

An antique complete set of Plutarch’s Lives. Translated from the Original Greek; with Notes, Critical and Historical; and A New Life of Plutarch.. This set includes volumes one through six, translated by John and William Langhorne. The books were published by C. and J. Rivington, Etc. of London in 1826. Each volume is presented in a leather bound cover with gilt lettering to the spine and marble patterned end papers.
