Antique Jacobean Style Burl Walnut Sideboard

Item Details

An antique Jacobean style sideboard from the Hearst collection. This sideboard features a burled walnut veneer top over pine secondary wood. Six drawers are adorned with pierced brass batwing drawer pulls. The sideboard has four upper drawers and two large lower drawers, and a serpentine apron adorned with inverted finials. The piece stands on five bulbous turned legs with bun feet connected by a serpentine and straight stretcher.

Condition

- to fair. Marks, chips and scratches throughout. A piece of trim to the front is broken off, one leg is broken and needs repaired; a plank to the verso is broken. Large chips near front corners of surface. Drawers stick. Large chips in veneer to various areas.
