A hand-painted stoneware faïence pitcher. This piece features elaborate polychrome detail on a gloss white glaze. A cobalt band accent the flared lip and curved handle, with floral sprigs to the shoulder. The bulbous body is decorated with red and gold sheaves of wheat, framed by geometric cobalt bands. The piece is signed to the base: ‘M.A.’
