Arts and Crafts Style "Morris" Chair by L. & J.G. Stickley
Item Details
A cherry Arts and Crafts style Morris chair with ottoman by L. and J.G. Stickley. The chair features a gently bowed ladder back with squared stiles, panel arms over combed spindles on squared legs, with tenon construction throughout. It includes cream leather upholstered cushions, and a coordinating ottoman with cushion top, combed sides and squared legs. The oval L. and J.G. Stickley shopmark (in use 1985-2007) and the Stickley Mission Collection medallion (in use 1989- present) appear to the underside of the seat and confirm a date between 1989 and 2007.

Condition
- to fair; the wood is in overall good condition; the chair is missing one of the pegs that holds the seat back in place; the leather on the ottoman is stained and heavily worn.
