Vintage Sevres Style Cobalt Gilt Metal Mounted Porcelain Urns
Item Details
A pair of gilt metal mounted porcelain urns in the Sevres style. This pair was produced between 1890-1920 in the Victorian style. Each features a scene of a courting couple. The covered vase shaped urns have metal pineapple finials, shaped handles and stand on a square plinths. The decoration lies within a ovoid shaped reserves surrounded by gilding in relief. The pieces have no discernible maker’s marks.
Condition
- one arm is broken; losses to the gilding on both the urn mountings; losses to the decoration.
