C. 1772-1773 Thomas & Jabez Daniell Sterling Cruet Stand with Bottles and Spoon

A sterling silver cruet stand from circa 1772-1773 by London silversmiths Thomas & Jabez Daniell with glass bottles and a 1797 sterling silver mustard spoon. The cruet stand features a rounded base with scrolled openwork sides, a feathered rim, three claw-and-ball feet, and a center loop handle. It is stamped with the ‘TDID’ maker’s mark only used between 1772 and 1773 and a lion passant for sterling. It comes with two glass bottles with one glass stopper, two shaker bottles with perforated silver-plated caps, and a mustard jar with silver-plated hinged lid. A sterling silver mustard spoon from 1797 by London silversmiths Peter and Ann Bateman that is stamped to the back with the ‘PB AB’ maker’s mark alongside three hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling, a ‘B’ for 1797, and a King George III duty mark. The approximate weight of the spoon is 0.490 ozt.
