1903 Théodore Haviland Limoges Porcelain Plates
Item Details
A set of antique porcelain plates by Théodore Haviland Limoges. Included are nine salad plates and nine dessert plates. Each is decorated with sprays of green and pink roses, accented with twirling vines. The lobed edges are brushed with gilt trim. Each bears a red logo to the base indicating a production date of 1903. They are also marked with a green logo indicating sale at Wanamaker’s Department Store. In 1850, Wanamaker’s became the first department store in Philadelphia and one of the first in the United States.
