Noted for his realistic storytelling depiction of American life, Michael Garman is famous for his sculpture series including Early American, Military, and Western among many others. The title of this bronzetone piece is Taking the Rough Off and depicts a cowboy with saddle removing his chaps with a bronze tone finish. The base is marked, ‘©Michael Garman, Copyright 1972, Taking the Rough Off’.
