Lovely crayon portrait of a spectacled woman from the late 19th century. According to the information on verso, this lovely lady is Mary Elizabeth McDaniel Prickett. Crayon portraits were created from a light photographic impression on paper then hand colored with charcoal. Housed in a wood and plaster gilt frame with low relief decorative border and oval cut matte.

Condition
