A signed hand colored etching of a bookseller by the banks of the Siene by listed French printmaker Victor Valery (born 1881). This intaglio print depicts a seated woman wearing a headscarf, selling books from a box near the Siene River in Paris. The Notre Dame cathedral is visible just across the river in the background. The work is signed in graphite in the lower right. It is presented under glass with layered mauve and white mats in a gold tone wood frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

- moderate discoloration to image; light wear to frame.
