This painting depicts a lone figure crossing over a thin walkway towards a steep hill shrouded in foliage, covering two thatched huts to the top left corner of the composition. The water rushes towards the foreground at a diagonal, creating a waterfall. To the lower right corner is painted calligraphic text and a red artist seal. The painting is presented under a brocade mat in a stained wooden frame featuring moulded metal accents to the corners and hanging string to the verso.
