Item Details
An oil painting on canvas by artist Billie Ripper. This portrait painting depicts a boy with dark hair and wearing a suit posing with his jet-black horse. A gold tone placard to the lower center identifies the boy as Charles Merryman Jr. and the horse as Copy’s Meme, a pair that won a blue ribbon in a Nashville junior rider’s competition in 1981. The piece is signed and dated ‘83’ to the lore left. It is presented in a stained wood frame with a linen liner and wire to the verso for hanging.
