Mid Century Metlox Vernonware "Organdie"

A set of Mid Century Metlox Vernonware in the ‘Organdie’ pattern from the 1950s. This tableware is handpainted under the glaze in a yellow and brown plaid pattern with a brown rim. Included are eight dinner plates, six lugged chowder bowls, eight bread and butter plates, and eight saucers. Also included are two serving bowls, two smaller round bowls, a platter, an oval divided serving dish, a covered butter tray, a miniature tea pot, a creamer and covered sugar bowl. Maker’s marks to the underside read ‘Under Glaze Hand Painted, Vernonware, California U.S.A., Organdie’.
