Vintage Royal Doulton's Puro Stoneware Water Filter
Item Details
A vintage Royal Doulton’s ‘Puro’ stoneware water filter. The exterior of the tall cylindrical stoneware crock features two small arch shaped handles to the sides and a silver tone metal spigot engraved ‘Doulton’ at the bottom. It is stamped in black ink on the front ’Doulton’s Puro Water Filter Lambeth London No 1’. It includes a round lid with three small holes in the underside, and a ceramic insert with a small screw which attaches to the spigot extending from the bottom. The inside of the crock has two small holes to the back. ‘Leadless Glaze’ is stamped beneath the holes on the exterior. - large chips in lid. Liner broken and has attempted repair. Some corrosion to metal on handle.
