A pair of prints featuring depictions of the Virgin Mary. Offered in this grouping is a sepia-toned lithograph after Madonna in Floral Wreath by Peter Paul Rubens and Jan Brueghel the Elder (1577-1640 and 1568-1625), depicting the Virgin standing the young Christ up on her lap. Also included is a halftone print reproduction of The Return from Calvary, a painting of the Virgin Mary, helped along by John and Mary Magdalene, leaving the scene of the crucifixion, by British artist Herbert Gustave Schmalz (1856-1935). The Return from Calvary includes an in-plate signature to the lower left, along with print information from Louis Wolff & Co. London. Each print is presented under glass in a wooden frame, the Madonna in Floral Wreath with a wire for hanging to the verso.

- edge wear to frames; residue underneath glass; toning to paper; slightly dusty.
