Schweitzer Silver Corp. Weighted Sterling Candleholders

Item Details

A set of four weighted sterling silver candleholders by Schweitzer Silver Corp. of Brooklyn, NY (active 1950s-1960s). Each piece features a flared capital with round sconce on a pedestal style base with gadroon border. There are two pairs of candleholders, two with taller capitals and two shorter capitals. They are all stamped to the underside with the diamond and ‘S’ maker’s mark over ‘Sterling Filled Reinforced’.

Condition

- good to fair; mild to significant surface wear including dents, punctures, marks, scratches, and tarnishing; shorter candleholder pair notably have holes at top of bases.
