Elite Works Decorated Limoges Floral Compote

Item Details

A Limoges compote decorated by the Elite Works. The company was founded by Bawo & Dotter an American import firm that opened in 1860. The company set up the Elite Works to decorate porcelain blanks made at the abundance of Limoges factories in the last part of the nineteenth century. The compote features hand painted embellishment with gilding on a light blue ground. Printed marks can be found on the underside in iron-red.
