Trio of Reverse Oil Paintings on Glass
Item Details
A lot of three vintage to antique reverse paintings on glass, housed in gold painted, composition decorated frames. The largest, a landscape with castle (which was screenprinted onto the glass prior to hand finishing, with marked ‘Mousetower’ to the lower right. The others, painted naively, display a landscape with cottage and a landscape with a windmill.
Condition
- the largest piece is chipping paint to the right side
- largest piece has distortions in the paint, possibly from moisture loosening the paint on the glass
- moisture damage to verso of featuring the roof of house in the trees
- minor wear to all frames
