A 1972 Munich Olympic Games fencing poster designed by eminent graphic designer and typographer Otl Aicher (German, 1922-1991). The offset lithograph poster is titled ’München 1972 – Olympic Games Aug 26th-Sept 10th_. It depicts two fencers in action, in a palette of white, kelly green, turquoise blue and royal blue. Aicher designed the poster after an original photograph by photographer Albrecht Gaebele. The poster was printed in Germany by Klein and Volbert, Munich.
