The painting depicts a dirt road lined with simple rural houses and voluminous trees coated in autumnal foliage. The painting’s colors are vibrant and over-saturated, creating a brilliant wash of color across the scene. The painting is signed in black to the lower right. It is presented in a wooden frame with natural and gold tone finishes, white linen lining, and a hanging wire attached to the verso.

Condition

- craquelure across painting’s surface. Paint has chipped away in several areas, revealing that it was painted over another piece.
