Don Quixote Sculptures Including Ouro Artesania Carvings

A selection of two sculptures depicting Spanish literary character Don Quixote and one of his squire Sancho Panza. The largest piece is made from papier-mâché and depicts Don Quixote on horseback, embracing the texture of wrinkled paper and painted with a dark finish. It is unmarked. The two smaller figures are hand-carved wood and depict Don Quixote and Sancho Panza standing on square bases that are marked to the underside ‘Ouro Artesania Made in Spain’, as well as with the model numbers ‘670-M’ and ‘701’.

Condition

- man on horseback has significant wear to finish, scuffs and small marks to wood figures.
