1894 London Sterling Silver Candleholders with 1950 Sterling Candelabra Branches

Item Details

A pairing of weighted sterling silver candleholders and sterling candelabra branches by London silversmiths. Each of the candleholders from 1894 features a single capital with reeded detailing on a bow and swag accented column and a round base with scalloped border. They are stamped to the side of the base with three hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling, a leopard’s head for London, and a ‘T’ for 1894 alongside a maker’s mark appears to read ‘JA TS’, likely for John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater. They are presented with two candelabra branches that each have a center capital flanked by two more on curved arms. They are marked to the bases ‘F.&SON LTD’ next to a lion passant for sterling and a ‘P’ for 1950.
