W.T. Copeland & Sons Blue on White Porcelain Fish Service, late 19th Century

An antique blue on white fish patterned porcelain fish service by W.T. Copeland & Sons, circa c.1867-90. Included are twelve plates and one oblong serving platter with a fluted body and having a foliate border framed by a woven patterned inner and outer border containing a variety of fishes in a naturalistic setting. All are marked by maker to undersides with a garter badge reading ‘W.T. Copeland & Sons’ containing a crown with a banner below reading ‘Stoke/Up On/Trent’ with various impressed marks including illegible registry date marks.
