An antique barrister bookcase. This genuine stacking Globe-Wernicke bookcase is constructed of oak with a dark finish and retains two of the original makers labels and stencil. This stacking bookcase is made up of four display sections in total with each section having a glazed door that lifts and slides back using the original brass handle. Each section is removable after lifting the top off and the top three cases are size 9 1/2 and the bottom is larger as a size 11 The top and bottom of the six piece unit feature an gentle ogee curve.
