A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool area rug. The rug features a lobed pendant medallion worked in shades of ivory, taupe, denim blue, sky blue, olive, dove gray, and sage green on a tangerine field. The corners have floral motifs which extend into an inner border with an ivory ground and floral motifs which are flanked by delicate camel and black crenelated guard borders. The primary borders feature lanceolate leaves, palmettes, and floral designs. The selvedges are overcast and there is short cotton fringe at each end. Unmarked.
