Miniature Porcelain and Guilloché Enameled Coin Silver Boxes
Item Details
A pairing of miniature boxes. This selection features an Austria-Hungary coin silver box with a blue guilloché enameled surface and mirror on the underside of the lid. The box dates between circa 1872 – 1922. This piece is presented with an oval Limoges porcelain box painted with a blue background, yellow rope bands, black polka dots, and pink flowers on the lid. The underside is marked, ‘M.B. Limoges’.
Condition
- coin silver box: hinge broken, spots of wear on enamel exposing silver, and tarnish; porcelain box: chip on rim, discoloration throughout.
