Fenton and Blenko Art Glass Baskets
Item Details
A group of four art glass bowls in the shape of baskets with applied glass handles, including Fenton and Blenko. Collection includes a small light green opalescent carnival glass basket with twisted handle; Bob Buchanan (1990-2004) handler’s mark; Fenton sticker label and guide to handler’s marks attached. A second Fenton basket is pale blue at the base of a body molded in basket-weave pattern, transitioning to very light blue opalescent glass applied in open lace work at flared ruffled edge; Fred Bruce (1953-1990) handler’s mark. The third piece is an emerald green blown-glass basket embellished with crimped, flared ruffle edge and clear handle, marked to underside of green basket is ‘Blenko 2002’ (‘Bl’ partially removed when base was ground flat). Fourth, a clear blown-glass basket is ornamented in applied pale green to flared ruffle edge and handle; unidentified handler’s mark applied at handle attachment.
