A hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool area rug. This rug features a palette of terracotta, indigo, ivory, sky blue, sage, and rose; displaying a central medallion with coordinating spandrels surrounded with floral and foliate motifs on a terracotta field. The field is framed in a main herati border with a pair of floral meander, and sawtooth guards. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Labeled to the underside.
