An oil painting on canvas of a circus by American painter Vernon Porter (b; 1896). The painting depicts several performers at rest with a picturesque blue sky in vibrant colors. Thick brush strokes are used to help show value and texture. To the verso, the work is signed in graphite. The painting is presented unmounted and without a frame.
