Megan McCord and Morris Johnson Mixed Media Paintings of Tropical Scenes

A pair of mixed media paintings of tropical scenes by artists Megan McCord and Morris Johnson. These two works include a depiction of a Toucan that is made by Megan McCord. It is composed of ripped pieces of paper tinted with watercolor and assembled together. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature. The collage is presented under glass in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. Also included is an oil painting created by Morris Johnson, which depicts a couple dancing atop an island with calm waters to the distance. Collaged to the surface is tinted and patterned paper, as well as sheet music, which renders the composition. The painting is contained in a patterned border featuring cut pieces of painted wood affixed throughout. To the verso is a handwritten artist signature and stamp containing their information.

- light wear to frame finish; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; painting by Morris chipped.
