Antique Painted Portrait On Porcelain "Lady With The Mantilla" In Ornate Frame

An antique painted portrait on porcelain titled Lady with the Mantilla in an ornate gilt wooden frame. The portrait depicts a woman wearing a white dress with a green ribbon around her waist and a white mantilla over her hair. She holds a gold tone ceramic oil lamp in one hand. She is depicted in front of a light grey-brown background. The piece is presented in an ornately carved and gilt acanthus motif frame. ‘Hand Painted On K.P.M. Porcelain Meissen Germany ’Lady With The Mantilla’ K P M S 2’ is handwritten on a piece of cardboard affixed to the back as well as on the back of the porcelain.
Condition
- painting is in good condition. Gilt frame had been broken and repaired with glue in five places.
