Gorham "Strasbourg" Sterling Flatware Set

A set of sterling silver flatware by Gorham. This is in the William C. Codman designed Strasbourg pattern, first introduced in 1897, which features a scroll bordered handle with shell accented tip. The twenty-six piece set includes two dinner forks, four place forks, two salad forks, five teaspoons, a soup spoon, two sugar spoons, two iced tea spoons, and a master butter knife, all marked ‘Gorham Sterling’ to the backs. They are presented with a large dinner knife, five smaller dinner knives, and a butter spreader with stainless blades and sterling handles. The total approximate weight, excluding the dinner knives and butter spreader with stainless blades, is 25.870 ozt.
