A vintage mahogany chippendale style secretary desk. This mahogany and mahogany veneer reverse serpentine fall front desk with bookcase has a broken arch pediment with a turned flame finial; with the upper cabinet having two glazed doors with an elaborate lattice design of lozenges and squares, enclosing two adjustable shelves. The front of the desk, which serves as the writing surface when down is fitted with three drawers, a shell carved center door, as well as six cubby holes; all above four long reverse serpentine drawers mounted with brass bat wing plates with bail pulls as well as bat wing escutcheons; all on a moulded reverse serpentine apron on short carved claw and ball feet.
