John James Audubon (1785-1851) was an American naturalist, ornithologist, and artist most known for his book The Birds of North America,, 1827-1839.
Robert Havell Jr. (English 1793-1878) was the principle engraver for The Birds of North America and later became a notable painter of The Hudson River School.
