Antique Imari and Richard Ginori Serving Platters
Item Details
An eclectic collection of vintage and antique porcelain platters. Featured in this group is an antique Imari platter, dating from 1890-1910. It is decorated with blue underglaze and iron red enamel, featuring reserves of geometric and floral motifs. It is not marked, as is typical for wares of this age. Accompanying the Imari is platter from the Richard Ginori Italian Scene pattern which has an illustration of an old Italian village to the well with gilt floral trim and ruffle edge. It is marked to the underside. Also included is a vintage platter from Schumann Bavaria, which features a romantic transfer printed image of young girls to the center with a wide pink border and pierced rim detail. It is marked to the base with the Schumann mark.
Condition
- small chip to base of Imari platter; faint surface marks present throughout; minor discoloration to pierced rim of platter.
