Item Details

A collection of four offset lithographs on paper of war scenes by listed French artist Jacques Lamy (France; 1946-2016). The selection includes the titles 20 Minutes, Cross Fire, Fire Base and L.R.R.P_. Each piece is signed in plate to the lower right. Below the title of each print the caption reading ’Art by Jacques Lamy, Concept by J. W. Johnson, 1st Special Forces. All the items remain unframed.

Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artist training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer and art teacher allowing him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in instructions such as Musee D’Art Roger Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
